Tibetan pastoral elephant chart ⑴

This is a Tibetan pastoral chart that shows clearly illustrates the stages of enlightenment. Overseas, it is called "Shamatha" or" The nine progressive stages of mental development”. It is a well-known picture in Tibet, and has been around for quite a long time.

In Japan, the Ten Oxen Chart is well known as a representation of the stages of enlightenment. However, we use the Tibetan pastoral elephant chart because it more accurately expresses the state of mind. In the old days, masters used to draw pictures and explain them to their disciples so that even those who could not read could understand.

The disciple will continue to meditate for years, someone might be worried  about , how much progress have I made?

And how soon will I be enlightened? And what is waiting for me beyond enlightenment? What is waiting for me beyond enlightenment? What is waiting for me after enlightenment .that questions is going to be solved this diagram.

It has been helpful in removing the doubts and fears of these disciples, even more,It has been also drawn with consideration to alert you to other pitfalls and temptations that lie ahead in your midst.

The consciousness raising begins with the house in the lower right corner of the diagram and proceeds to the top.

The house is depicted in the Tibetan style, but is seen as the house you live in. Since ancient times, it has been mandatory to be ordained if you want to become enlightened.

However, in today's situation, it is faster to be ordained than to live in a house. This is because, if you are accustomed to being surrounded by so many things and information, it is more effective for you to stop being attached to them than it is to block them out. This meditation is also more suitable for those who are at home, where many things happen to around your occasion.

Now,I am going to explain this diagram details meaning.

The monkey depicted in the diagram represents ego. The closest creature on earth to Ego's personality is the monkey, so it is depicted as such. The monkey's love of heights is depicted in the tree on the left. The elephant represents the heart, and the man represents the soul (consciousness).

① is the state of beginning meditation. The monkey and the elephant are still black. Like the people around them, the ego is taking the lead in life, playing left and right in a lost world. The soul can only watch it. There are many treasures written in the picture, but we will go on not to get caught up in those things.

② The soul on a journey to know who it is meditates to purify and cleanse its own heart. They look at themselves, knowing that there is true love and light on the other side of the darkness of their hearts, but in the beginning, it is not the soul that they are looking at, but the ego. Still, little by little, the heart is purified.

③ As you are getting used to with meditation, you will find yourself meditating and thinking about truth and love whether you are asleep or awake. You always look at your mind and check it and if you notice that your mind is separated, you meditate and integrate them. Then you have reached this state. The soul can rope the mind and proceed with care not to go astray.

The cave depicted on the right is of a person who retreats to the mountains or a cave to be alone, away from the world and society. Such people flee to the mountains to avoid the world and society, but when they come back to the world again, they will create the same unpleasant situation as before. Unless you transcend the world and society within yourself, it will always follow you.

④I have integrated and progressed so much more than when I started meditating. It is also a time when you tend to feel like you are above the people around you. Some people may experience enlightenment or becoming one with love, light, and the universe at this stage. However, these experiences are temporary and will not last forever.

Also,a black fox on top of an elephant. Some people mistakenly state around them that they have reached a goal or fulfilled such a spiritual experience and start doing business, but the fox also needs to be meditated on and transcended.
